At Wesley Hall, we care about keeping our community safe. One important way we do this is by helping people understand carbon monoxide (CO) safety. A little awareness can make a big difference in protecting your home and family.

A CO Alarm Helped One Local Family

Sana Ahmad and her 4 children were kept safe thanks to a CO alarm provided by Wesley Hall with support from Cadent Gas. When their alarm went off, they called the emergency gas number (0800 111 999) right away.

Within 30 minutes, Cadent engineer Dilwar arrived, found high CO levels in their home and discovered a gas leak. Thanks to their quick action, the family was safe. Cadent also provided emergency heating and food vouchers to make sure they were comfortable while their home was fixed.

This shows why having a CO alarm is so important - it can save lives.

✔ Service your gas appliances – A Gas Safe registered engineer should check your boiler and heating once a year.

✔ Know the emergency number – If you ever smell gas or think there’s a problem, call 0800 111 999.
